1. Who are you and what do you do?
We’re 3 local mums that run Our Kid on Oswald Road, an independent shop with café that’s been designed with families in mind. We sell cool kidswear, toys and interiors alongside yummy cakes, savouries and locally roasted coffee and pride ourselves on being a social hotspot for Chorlton’s thriving parenting community.

2. What do you like doing in Chorlton or Whalley Range or where do you like going?
We’re regulars on the Chorlton baby-group circuit and by day can be found at Baby Boogie, Owen’s Little Music Makers or just having a play at the small but incredibly friendly Beech Road Park. When we venture out at night we love eating at The Drop, Bar San Juan and The Lead Station and if we’re in the mood for mischief might sink a few shots at Proof.

3. What do you think makes Chorlton or Whalley Range different?
Chorlton has a unique community vibe that maintains a balance between its heritage and the future. We love the mix of independent retailers and that fact that you can get everything you need on your doorstep. There’s a vibrant family scene here, so many lovely social happenings and opportunities to make friends for life. Be warned, you may never want to leave!

4. Got any funny anecdotes about our very special village?
We heard a rumour that Eddie from JP Brimelows had been lined up to play the next James Bond…!

5. Finally if you could be anyone for the day who would it be and why?
Through Our Kid we have a newfound interest in cakes and treats so we’d love to be judges on Great British Bake Off and be Mel, Sue and Mary Berry for the day. We’ll let you decide who is who!
